Check with vet before going to a strange state. Example: Minnesota as of 1 September requires a coggins within 12 months for participation in any "event", or importation. Wisconsin requires the test to be in the calendar year with the previous years test good for January. Wisconsin also requires the sponsor of any "event" to keep records for 2 years. The result is one should bring a dry copy of the papers to a WI ride to save someone a lot of copying of information. In Minnesota an "event" is when there is judging and a winner picked i.e. an endurance ride but not a recreational trail ride with no vets or winner. Wisconsin defines an "event" as any gathering of two or more horses by prearangement. Ed Hauser Sisu Farm 1140 37th St. Hudson, WI 54016 (715) 386-0465 email: sisufarm@mmmpcc.org
