Gotta remember the basic demographics of the sport, too.  Way more ladies than
men out there competing in the first place, from the ground floor right on up.
Have had a few very talented guys over the years that got to FEI level,
though--in recent times, Stagg Newman (who had bad luck on the flight over to
The Hague), Chris Knoch, Steve Rojek, Sherm Leitgeb--and Canada fielded Len
Fox, who won the bronze at last year's Pan Am and will be in Dubai.  (I kind
of think of him as "ours" since he competes in my AERC region.)
