2. How much soaked beet pulp is too much to feed on a daily basis? I
am currently trying to add some weight to my mare, but don't want to
feed too much. She is approx 15.3 hands, 1000 # and I am starting to
condition for 50 milers.

Hi Dee!! I have used beet pupl successfully for 5 years now. I love it.
I use it on the endurance horses, the brood mares, and the babies.
I think that your horse will tell you when you are feeding too much beet
pulp, as she will leave it and not eat it. Mine are pigs for food, will
not leave food for anything, but when they have had their fill of beet
pulp, they will walk away. Sort of like hay. I
m not saying that all horses will leave it, but mine sure do.
I can not wait to see you on the trail this year!! You did great at the
Cohutta ride, and I thihnk you will continue to do good!!
keep it up!!
