No. The recovery days are just as important as the work days as far as
supplying energy and protein are concerned. However, you don't want that horse
in a stall doing nothing on days off. Otherwise, no matter what quantity you
feed, you're liable to roll into a tying up syndrome with a fit horse after
about three days of stall confinement.
