Feeding Grass Before Ride

The grass leaves the stomach very quickly and goes into the intenstines.
There is provides nutrition for the horse during the ride, and
keeps water in the intenstines for use during the ride. If anything,
I would increase the amount of hay available for the horse
prior to the ride.
