I have read two articles now with comments directed at endurance horses regarding an all alfalfa diet being detrimental to endurance horses. One in John lyons magazine and one in a magazine called The Whole horse. I must say that I agree with the comments of the difficulties of all alfalfa for horses anyway because of my own experieince. After all It is a legume and I personally believe horses were meant to enjoy and digest the grasses of our planet!! I found a 70% Timothy and 30% alfalfal hay cube with NO Binders, and guaranteed to be free of molds and dust. I bought it by the truckload for my horses here in California. I invite anyone to contact me if you too may be interested in such a product for your hard-working horses. Being a soft cube, they tend to chew it well and it lasts them! Thanks!
