Hi! Jim Mitchell was correct about the name-Desert Pacific. We were under
the impression after the BOD Meeding last year at the Conference that we
needed to quickly decide on a name, but I don't remember why. We did take
a straw vote at the Geo Bun Buster Ride so as to harness the enthusiasm
for our new region. Desert Pacific was the name chosen. I, too, was
surprised to see the ballot. Those of you who like Desert Pacific write it
in please. Guess with the change in office staff there was some confusion.

With regard to the confusion regarding the dates of the Death Valley Ride
it is 4 days-Dec. 28,29,30.31. It is sanctioned for four-25's, four-50's
and two today one hundred milers. Jackie
