RABIES VACCINATIONS

I have been mauling this thread over and over in my mind. Of course I
must put in my .02 cents worth.

I live in an area where Rabies is endemic. We also have encephalitis
outbreaks on occasion. The vaccination is the only protection they have.

I have a mare who is 24 years old. She has been vaccinated every year
for the last 17 years (number of years I have owned her). Her health has
always been excellent. I also have her daughter who is 14. She has had
annual vaccinations for all of her years with no apparent side effects.

Trish, I would be happy to read your posts if you still have them and
would like to send them to me. I am always interested in gaining more
information and, who knows, I might change my mind. But, I really feel
that the downside is far outweighed by the good that they do.
