Camp is on an equestrian center's property, and as I recall, there is a
water faucet at each parking space, and plenty of porta-potties
Ride management are friendly and helpful.
I've only done the 30 miler, and I'd call it fairly difficult. It starts
with a "shotgun start" - (with a real shotgun) in a sandy riverbottom.
The riverbottom turns rocky, and then you get to slight hills, followed
by a hill so steep you have to watch a few others go up it to make
yourself believe it can be done. That takes you to the "rollercoaster,"
which I love, but some people find scary. It goes up 3 or 4 strides, then
down, then up, down, up..., After that it's mostly good trail, quite a
few climbs, lots of rocks. In most places the trail is wide enough for 3
abreast. (my recollection from 3 years ago)
The lunch hold is in camp.
After the ride they put on a real feast. INDOORS!
Maybe I should go just for the feast. Do you need a crew?
