How about "The Endurance Horse: A World Survey of Endurance Riding from
Ancient Civilization to Modern Competition" by Ann Hyland? This is a big
hardcover full of photos and a great history lesson. Or maybe "Beginner's
Guide to Endurance Riding" or "Riding Long Distance" by Hyland?
