Yes, they are terrible...

I bought one & tried to use it as a "spare tire" on a ride. there is no
way to keep it on the foot without rubbing the heel bulb raw & the
buckle/strap arrangement that goes behind the heel is very unsatisfactory
- would not stay on at all. Used it once as a soaking boot for a sore
foot & it was ok for that.
