Being a separate issue from my horse being laid-up I have put the bug in
my husbands head that we need a second horse so that he and the kids can
ride with me while out on trail. A surprise to me, he was open to the
idea, but did say we should lease it first to make sure that the horse
fits our family's needs.
So now comes the hard part: Finding a horse that is gentle enough and
somewhat bombproof for my two young boys and has enough get up and go
for my husband. Is that too much to ask? My mare really needs an
experienced rider but hopefully as she gets older and more experienced
she will be good for everyone. Does anyone have any ideas, words of
wisdom or has a horse that would fit our needs? Any advice appreciated.
