There should be some interesting posts on color and heat in the archives.
We had a lively discussion on that once. Perhaps it is not color, but
rather body size; my "Houston in the summer" horse that does the best of
all of ours in the heat is black bay. He is 15h, 950 lbs. Rather muscled,
as he's a 14 year old stallion. My 16.1 h TB, also black bay, does the
worst. I have often wondered if it was more bloodlines...my hot weather
horse is also my only Egyptian horse. My Russian stallion loved the cold
weather, and he was grey, and big.
