The other night on TV I sawwhat looked like to be an older documentary
on a camel endurance ride from Ayers Rock to the Gold Coast area(?).
3000 kilometers, I think.

Anyway, it looked to be grueling and tough. And those flies, millions of
flies that stick to you like glue! They had checkpoints and vet'ed the
camels, just like the horses, to see if they were fit to continue.

Is this race still going on? Have any of you guys ever done it?
