Re: meltdowns -- it happens here (Mobile, AL) too! A friend just melted
the shell of his Troxel last week, by leaving it in the car with windows
rolled up all day in the sun (I've seen a car dashboard melt this way too,
here in Mobile -- hard to believe, but true). I forwarded him Linda's
message and suggested he get his helmet replaced. We wondered whether
temps hot enough to melt the shell might also damage the foam -- weaken
it, whatever.

I've had trouble with that too -- the heat/humidity dissolves the glue
holding the velcro pieces on there. I wondered about a stronger epoxy
but haven't tried anything yet -- since I have a Lidlocker on order now.
