sports saddle ... wear and tear

Just ordered my first (and hopfully only) sportsaddle. I've tried out
a few and love them. It is the "training" model with the stirrups set
back.

I was wondering who out there has the oldest sports saddle and what
shape is it in? How does it hold up to wear and tear? This model also
has a suede seat and pommel...anyone have any problems with suede on
their saddles?
