I have made the very difficult decision to sell one of my mares. I
rescued her from a cattle auction (slaughter)last summer. She is more
than likely a purebred Arab and I feel she was probably abused. She
spent 30 days at a trainer in October (he was really impressed by her)
and then was only ridden a few times before going to the Cow Tanks ride
with Pat Wasmund on board. She finished all three days (LD) with lots of
energy left. The way she acted at the vet check you'd think she'd done
it all her life. She was ridden only a couple of times between the Cow
Tanks and the Renegade Multi-day. Again, Pat rode her and completed all
5 days. Dixie is a natural endurance horse and is very sweet. She just
needs someone that can spend time with her and channel her potential.
Would be best with a feather/light weight rider. Since I have not had
time for her she was bred to Electric Shahck (Sire--Bey Prost by Bey
Shah and TW Forteyna) for a May 1998 colt. Asking $1500.00.
Carol and Dixie (Mom--It's ok with me if you're busy, I like being
pasture potato) and Dakota (Please, no trainer mom)
