I also got used to a pommel bag from a company that went out of
business, and lost it, and have found a nice replacement. The company
is Eagle Creek and they make a variety of backpack and waistpacks in all
sizes, found in camping and outdoors stores. The one I use was made as
a sort of travel shoulder bag, but the shoulderstrap is optional. Take
it off and you can use the rings (for the strap) to attach to the
D-rings on either side of the pommel with little tiny carabiners (you
have to buy those separate--or whatever snaps you like) . It's made of
canvas, has a flap opening with velcro and a couple of zipper pockets.
You can't fit much, but those few things I always like to have or like
to be able to get at without turning around to a cantle bag--glasses,
map, keys, leatherman tool, gloves--they all go in. It's smaller than
10", though.

Good luck, Sally!
