I assumed that he was from "show" bloodlines being Russian and Polish and
very large and powerful. I thought I was breaking all the endurance horse
rules. Interestingly, he was the first Arab that impressed even my cowboy
friends.
Now I have just read Louise Burton's comments on the Russian horses and find
that my little guy is a Muscat grandget with Silver Drift and Arax breeding.
He has some Bask and several that I don't recognize yet but when I go back
farther I find all the endurance names I was reading about in the endurance
books. Thanks Louise--I just fell in love with him and thought I had
decided that I couldn't "ride papers". It is nice to know that all of you
have taught me enough this last year to recognize an endurance horse when I
see one, even if I don't know why!
