Karen Chaten has been so kind to let me ride her wonderful horse
Rocky and do some rides on him to satisfy my riding fix.
I have never experienced 4 wheel (foot) drive as I have in this horse
and fast, He is a really good horse.
My problem is and I need anyones advice, is that for so long I have
rode my horse because of his falling supporting and holdoing him up with
the reins that I don't know how to ride normal. I am afraid of going
fast because my horse would fall with me with any speed or any inclines
as a result I found myself constantly checking Rocky with little half
halts, squeeze and release. When I released, he stumbled. Am I
releasing too soon? I was told never to hang on the reins, am so use to
riding with contact on my horse that I don't know how to rate without
interfering with balance. How do some of you rate or slow your horses
for example when approaching a bad section of trail or rocky stretch,
ditch etc.
Kat from S. Calif, Sandy DSA anyone....I could use some tips as to
what I may be doing wrong. My confidence I know is a factor.
Linda who is eager to do a ride on Rocky...Thanks Karen, and Sareei
who is on sick leave right now.
