Betsy,

One additional hint: turn your toes in slightly. When your toes are
turned out, you are hanging on with your calves. When your toes are in
slightly, you will have more contact with the inside of your upper legs
and knees. This should stop your legs from swinging out from under you.

Also, practice with the placement of your head. I know this sounds
funny but heads weigh a lot ( yes, we all know people whose heads REALLY
WEIGH A LOT) but if you hold your head up straight (like you are
suspended by your head from a string, it will balance your body better.

One more little thing, when I had a Stubben Sigfried, my back tortured
me all the time. That saddle throws you forward. I got a Stubben VSD
and have ABSOLUTELY NO TROUBLE with my back anymore.
