Camelbacks

I tried the camelbacks and so far, have not had good luck. The first was
a fanny pack, which I liked but I had to bend over to drink, which I
didn't like; then pulled off the tip somewhere between my saddle and leg
and lost all my water. Next I tried the backpack model and about 15' out
on the trail felt a little wetness dribbling down my back. Lost all my
water besides me and saddle being drenched. When I checked it at the
first stop, there was a flaw in the seam. So, if you're just trying one
for the first time, test it well before you take off on the trail with it
and be sure you also carry extra water, just in case! It's no fun riding
in desert conditions with no water. I'm not giving up as I like the idea
and will drink more water with one so am looking for another to try.

For those of you with the back models, do yours have a waist strap or
just the strap over the shoulders. I did get some bouncing with
the backpack model (maybe I don't ride right) and was wondering how it
was going to feel by the end of the ride. However, never got a chance to
find out.
