Pardon, but that is obvious. I'm sure Glenda knows that.
She wanted to know *what* people wear to stay comfortable
to *avoid* what happened to you:

Coming from an english background, I'd never *heard* of riding
tights, let alone *seen* them until recently.

Knowing what's available to wear is a step forward - why force
yourself into chafed knees for want of asking a simple question?
