Just this weekend I was talking to someone whose horse is extremely
sensitive to gnats. She found this out after contacting a former owner
after unsucessful attempts to figure out her horses sudden behavior
problems.

Her solution is a gnat mesh over the nostrils and mouth. I don't know
where she bought it but I can find out.

Don't treat the symptoms by using a tie down - treat the cause.
