By the way, the announcer was Nigel Casserly. His wonderful British accent
is heard at most major equestrian events. He is the "Howard Cossel" of the
horse world!!! He was evidently fed good information as he gave statistics,
past history and interesting facts concerning the sport of endurance and the
riders competing there throughout the day.
I will never forget his "testing" the PA system at Rolex a few years ago:
"Mary had a little lamb, she also had a duck.
She put them on the mantle to see if they would $%^&"
This in front of the entire equine community!!!
The Festival of Champions was indeed an emotional experience!!!
