A very delayed response.

The most important thing in your first aid kit is the knowledge in your
head. In addition there is no point in carrying something you do not know
how to use. The items you need to carry are dictated by what you have the
knowledge to treat. Banamine injectable is great, but useless if you don't
know how to properly give injectables.

What is carried is also determined by how far you travel from vet help. I
travel in the backcountry, so my kit includes some "second aid" items as
well as first aid.
