New partner

When I lost my mare last Sunday, so many of you wrote to me with
condolences and suggestions for healing after my loss. Several ridecampers
suggested searching for another horse to fill the void. This was a
wonderful suggestion. It took my mind off the sadness and encouraged me to
make new dreams and goals. I looked at several horses and today I found
the perfect horse to make dreams a reality (many of the same dreams I had
for my mare). As it turned out he is a half-brother to my mare through the
sire "Bey Prost" by "Bey Shah" and "TW Forteyna". If all goes well we'll
begin NATRC rides a year from now and then some 50's the following year.
He won't be 3 until July and will probably lose his manhood shortly after
that. I'm seriously considering breeding him to my foundation Quarter
Horse first.

I still cry when I think or talk about my mare but I think her spirit will
live on through this new partner. Thanks to everyone that shared their
stories with me. If any of you are at the Timberon 5-day, look me up I'll
be there either riding or crewing (or just sitting around watching everyone
else work--ha ha).
