There are three books I would recommend...
Wilderness Cuisine by Carole Latimer "How To Prepare and Enjoy Fine Food
On The
Trail and In Camp". Each recipe includes "do ahead at home"
instructions. The
recipes are *delicious*. Also have sections on how to organize, tools,
etc. This
is my personal favorite.
The One Pan Gourmet by Don Jacobson..."Fresh Food ON The Trail"
recommended for
backpackers, canoeists, kayakers, bicyclists, etc. Info on how to plan,
pack, prepare
savory meals for the trail. Haven't tried many of these yet, but liked
those I did.
The On & Off The Road Cookbook by Carl Franz and Lorena Havens.
"Planning Preparation
Recipes For The Complete Outdoor Kitchen". Recommended for hikers,
boaters, rv'ers,
motorcyclists, campers, travelers, etc. Lots of easy, one pot recipes.
Tried several
recipes and liked em all.
