The best remedy I've found for girth sores, or any sore part, is
Desitin(diaper rash
ointment). It's messy and oh so white, but it works.

LD - How come when a 50 miler is won in 4 - 4.5 hours and a 25 miler is
"won" in
2.5 - 3 hours, the 25 milers are called speed freaks and the 50's are
competitive?

Also, I've "won" several LD rides and my horse has successfully completed
her 3rd
50 miler this year. Please don't generalize.
