I recently purchased a used Sharon Saare saddle. The seller included a
beautiful saddle pad. The "stuffing" of the pad sounded strange. When
I opened up the velcro I was very surprised to find plastic astro-turf
used as the inserts! I can't imagine what the benefit would be and have
never seen this. Anyone else experienced with this?

I replaced the astro-turn panels with felt - but am curious if anyone
else actually uses the plastic grass!
