One caution - If you are going to mix electrolytes then look at the
contents on the containers. The Morton's Lite Salt that I find in the
stores here is a blend of potassium chloride AND sodium chloride,
already. It is not the same as the product that I bought for years that
was only potassium chloride. Also, I think that the mixture should not
include iodine and the 'new improved' Lite Salt is iodized.. Finally,
despite all sorts of things I added to increase the appeal, my horses
would not touch feed that had been dosed with the homebrew mix - They had
to be dosed with a syringe or turkey baster... That's why I have
switched from the less expensive homemade electrolytes to one of the new
commercial mixes...
