I think my new horse had them on his front feet when I bought him. They wore
out VERY fast and could have causes a problem on a long ride we went on.
They were potato chip thin and melted away in some spots by the end of the
ride.
If I had known earlier, I would've had them pulled (although new) and
replaced when my farrier put shoes on the back.
They wear out fast. Costs of shoeing goes up. Don't know about problems
with long term use. (Sheez, wish I could have new $60 shoes every 6-8
weeks.)
