<< The policies here in Mountain Region vary. I believe all are too liberal
with giving refunds and not requiring deposits. If ride managers don't
start running rides like they are a business, they won't be putting rides
on more than once or twice. I think we will start to see a tightening up,
as the attendance goes up and people get turned away because rides are
full. I believe the policy should be NO REFUNDS.

Since I'm not managing rides anymore, I can rant all I want! END OF RANT.

Try 3-day eventing...You must enter (with money) WAY in advance. 6 weeks
before the event is "opening date" No entries accepted BEFORE opening date.
Entries accepted AFTER opening date in order of postmark. CLOSING date is 2
weeks before event. NO entries accepted AFTER that date. If too many
received between opening and closing date, postmark determines who gets in.
USCTA provided for those that did not make it by giving them priority at the
next event. NO REFUNDS WHATSOEVER!!! We may come to this someday...so
consider ourselves lucky. If ride does not state refund policy in advance,
ASK. It never hurts to know the truth.
