This works both ways. I and other endurance riders worked many days =
building
and maintaining trails in Bankhead Forest only to have some of them =
closed to
horses and given to other users. We once had a meeting with an official =
from
the Natchez Trace trail asking for our volunteer labor. We asked him if =
we
helped build the trail, what assurance we'd have that we could use it for
endurance rides. He said he could give no assurance, that if the trail =
was
popular with the public he would not allow endurance rides over it. I =
did not
volunteer.
