I'm posting the following ad for a friend. I know this horse very well
and would highly recommend him for someone who wants to do CTR's on a
non-Arab. A few other comments: He can easily carry a HW rider. He
loves to trot and can go all day without tiring (not to mention that even
his extended trot is comfy to ride). He's easy to get fit. Although a QH
he does not have the traditional bulky build that you normally associate
with the breed. He is a very personable horse who's always waiting at
the gate for attention. He's chestnut with some white. He not only goes
through anything on the trail, he will drink at every water hole, including
the yucky mud puddles:). In general, he's an easy horse to handle.
QH 15.2 Exc. Trail horse/Competitive Trail - Successfully completed
first two ECTRA Sanctioned rides. Doncaster 30 (in mud) and
Graves Mountain 25- finished 7th in both, in excellent condition.
Because of his age at the time, he was ridden with the goal of completion
This horse has a lot of potential, he is very athletic. Loads, Hauls,
Clips - never had a soundness problem. Does not shy; is very bold.
He has a big ground covering trot.
Owner has too many horses and cannot give the time needed
to keep him going. Needs an experienced rider.
Located in Powhatan, VA which is just outside of Richmond (to the West).
