I agree with this one, too, although for a different reason---we have a
115 gallon "extra tank" that we put into the bed of the dually to
supplement the 45 gallon tank in the RV. Obviously, we don't always
need that much water, and at 8 pounds a gallon, a full tank adds over
900 pounds to the load. The problem is that if you only fill up a
quarter or half way, the water starts sloshing back and forth and can
get a bit unstable. We drive a dually, so it's not a big problem for
us, but it is annoying. If 400 pounds of water was slopping around in
the back of a bumper pull trailer pulled by a less-than-heavy-duty
truck, it would feel just like a horse rocking back and forth. Pretty
unstable, possibly a little dangerous in slick or high wind conditions?,
probably unsettling to a green horse. Just something to think about.
However, I know you can get tanks with baffles, which I wish we had
gotten at the time.
