Shannon,
My horse suffered an impact blow to his stifle last June and the area
has been sweating since. He is sound now. I don't know what he hit but
it only caused a couple of scratches on the surface. He developed a
seroma that had to be drained from the impact. No joint damage was
evident from xray or ultra-sound. My vet says possible nerve damage to
the skin is causing the constant sweating. As long as he's sound I just
keep cleaning the area and occasionally rub with witch hazel.
