	Hello Folks,
One of Australia'smost pleasant rides took place on Saturday morning at
Rosedale in Queensland. For those who are not familiar with Aussie
geography, Rosedale is located about 400K north of Brisbane on the East
coast at approx 25 Degrees South Latitude so you can say it is very much
subtropical and quite warm this time of the year. A lot of the riders were
using this ride to qualifyand/or top off training for the Australian
Championships (The Tom Quilty over 160k[100milec]) to be held in early
June. The ride is not very hilly but there is a lot of stoney ground to
keep the riders on their toes.
The main ride with 36 starters was over 80K(50M) with 21 Completions. A
training ride over 40K was attempted by 17 riders with 13 completions.

Best Conditioned Horse Award in H/W-M/W went to Tehranor, ridden by Bob
Sample. Bob and his team are certainly getting ready for the Quilty. He
took 5 horses to this ride and all completed; four of them were Sharahd
horses bred by Bob and the other, Tehranor, was by the writers stallion.
Best Conditioned L/W-Junior went to Sharahd Carah ridden by Abby Gill.
Congratulations to Brook and Bob for a terrific riding times and to the
organisers who put on, as always, what can only be described as the
friendly bush ride in the old fashioned way.
