i recommend that you go to a mountain shop and get a feel for those
reins first. ive worked with them and i love them..but you need to
know the diameter of the rope and whether it or not its considered
static line. i also ride in gloves anyway..no matter what reins im
using.

you know..you can MAKE those reins for about 1/3 of the cost for what
they sell them. in fact im off to canada this weekend (1.5 hours
from me) to pick up 2 1/5 metres of rope to put together a new set.
the rope will cost me about $5 (canadian..which means about $3
american) and the hardware less than $5
