Does anyone have a phone number for the Bureau of Land management that I
could call to get statistical information about wild horses.

I am running a story on endurance for the magazine I edit (Virginia
Explorer, published by the Virginia Museum of Natural History), and
would like to include information on the mortality rate of wild horses
at the point when I talk about how well-cared for endurance horses are.

I want to do this to try to forestall objections from animal rights
extremists.

Can anyone help?
