Hi all:

Padded crotches in riding tights are a great steal from the world of
mountain biking. Mountain Equipment Co-op in Vancouver, B.C. carries all
sorts of gear for self-propelled sports and many of their clothes can be
worn by riders. I particularly like nylon windpants with zippers at
ankles, light weight fabric hiking boots, fleece gloves, fleece 'helmet'
that fits under a riding helmet, climbing tights, sport bras, furry fleece
pants that are designed for winter climbing, their knees are designed to
bend very well-all climbing pants and shorts, tights, etc. are made to
allow you to get your leg way up in the air. Looking at that list you might
think all we do is ride in the freezing cold. (You know-8 months of winter
and 4 months of bad sledding.) M.E.C. mail orders gear.

R.E.I. Recreational Equipment ...what the heck does the I stand for? is a
similar and larger co-op in Seattle, Washington. I'm pretty sure they mail
order, too.

You must be a member of M.E.C. to buy. Can include the $5 fee with your
first order. If anyone wants their address I can find it in the catalogue.
