I recently looked at a mare with bone spurs in the front fetlock. I
don't know if this is considered the same as calcium deposits, but my
veterinarian strongly advised me against purchasing this mare even for
mild trail use. My vet won't have me buy an unsound horse to keep him
in business. I appreciate his honesty. Keep seeking professional
opinions.
