They suggest carrying two pieces of tubes or hose with you and some
tape or vet wrap when you ride in snake country.

Kim, I live in the Mohave Desert and we have lots of rattlesnakes so
my girlfriend and I asked our vet what to do if we had the misfortune
to have our horses bit. He said carry an anti-inflammatory around like
Bute or Banamine. He didn't say how much but I would imagine you could
give 1-2 grams of Bute, not sure about Banamine. Let's just hope it
never happens!
