Just got my Trail Blazer in the mail today. Good article, Tom. I'm sure
the whole endurance community will be tuned in to find out what you have
up your sleave each month.
The photo at the top of the article I thought was particularly
appropriate. Mary Koefod riding Diamond to a win. Diamond was probably
the first elite endurance horse to have his physiological capacity
studied. I believe it was the Vet School in Oklahoma. They studied him
on a treadmill, did biopsies, etc. That was back in ~ 1984-5. He was a
really neat horse. He's always been one of my favorites.
Keep up the good work, Tom. Our sport needs your insight.
