We just saw some of the horses going for auction at the Los Angeles County
fair grounds.
Had a nice chat with Tomasz of Magness Arabians as well Roger Lang -- both
with extensive race breeding experience. They've both got some nice horses
for sale.
Magness Mares: (from auction supplement)
1) Poliera AA. #0404395. Chestnut Mare. 9 yrs old. Bay Filly 4 weeks old
by her side out of AH Gallant. Very pretty. Nice show mare and filly.
*Gondolier x *Pohanica. On top: Palas - Aswan and Panel. Gonagra - Negatiw
and Gomora. On bottom: Pohaniec - Comet and Planeta. Darboska - Dardir and
Borexia.
Pure polish arabian mare with outstanding pedigree. She is by Polish and
World Champion Stallion, *Gondolier and out of the Swedish imported mare,
*Pohanica. *Pohanica is a paternal half sister to US National Champion
Western Pleasure Mare, *Catarina and multi-million dollar stallion, Probat.
Sire of the filly is AH Gallant, by National Champion, *El Paso, out of the
Aladdinn mare, Gonina.
2) Parkaliera. #400749. Grey Mare. 10 years old. Grey colt by her side -
6 weeks old, out of Bandos son, Cable Cowboy.
*Gondolier x *Paridaa. Top side: Same as above for *Gondolier. Bottom
side: Partner - Eleuzis and Parka. *Faridaa - Bandos and Fanza.
This mare is VERY pretty and big, over 15h. She has a very nice, big trot
and would make a nice perfomance and/or endurance horse.
3) Corinna. #179884. Grey Mare. 20 years old. This mare is a classic
mare with looks and pedigree to match. She has lots of type, regal beauty
and still acts as a youngster. She is by Bask Valentino, sired by the
immortal *Bask. This mare has been a great producer and just had a colt this
last year. She is currently open.
Sire: Bask Valentino - *Bask and Abu Wita. Witraz/Balalajka. Abu
Farwa/Witeza.
Dam: Cor Genie - *Corsair and Abu Wita. Comet/*Szarza. Abu Farwa/Witeza.
