Picket lines without trees

Down in Texas we do a number of rides where camp is set up in pastures
with few if any trees. It is still possible to set up a picket line if
you have a long rope, one long stake and a pipe bi-pod stand. I
borrowed this design from Jerry Cook [ his wife manages the Poetry
Fantasy Ride]. It takes about $20.00 in parts which you can buy from
Home Deport, Payless or any plumbing supply house and one weld to make.
It is easy to setup [ one person can do it].

Picture a rope coming off the top of the trailer and going to an 8 foot
high bi-pod 30 feet away from the trailer. The horse can walk the
picket line and have easy access to food/water either on the ground or
hung from the trailer. [Yes this will also work for those " crazy Arabs"
that's all my family rides.]

I would include a picture but many folks have e-mails that don't like
attachments.

If you are interested give me call and I'll tell you how to make the
bi-pod. You can reach me during the day at (800) 772-5281 ext. 3590.
