I'm looking for riding company in a 50 mile or so radius of my neck of the
woods (New River Valley, Blacksburg, Floyd, Roanoke, thereabouts). What I
need for several outings is a bit of babysitting while I develop a riding
relationship with my six y.o. mare, a 14 hand very energetic Spanish Mustang
I'd like to start on serious long distance. She's more than green broke,
but ridden very little because I haven't had the company I feel I need.
(I've ridden solo on another horse but it's very much like swimming alone.)
The folks who once were my riding buddies (when I was conditioning my 16 yo
TWH for a 25 mile CTR) are no longer available for the long slow
unchallenging riding I'm going to need for a few weeks at least.

I have a variable schedule such that I often have weekdays available as well
as all or part of three weekends a month. I'm happy to travel so long as I
can make a day trip of it and still get a few hours of riding...or I'd be
happy to have company come to Floyd and go riding on Buffalo Mountain.
