What would you call it?

I do believe there are some burned up riders, in more ways than one, at the
Florida tonight. I just got word that everyone got lost to a greater or
lesser degree. I know for a fact that the rider who crossed the finish line
first, on the first 50 mile day of the 100, had really done 60 miles, but
then he was told that he had gone off trail and had to go back to the last
vet check and then home (another 16 miles). When you add it all up that
makes 76 miles! And he still made it in tenth which shows what was happening
to everyone out there in the woods. The rider who was leading the 50 came in
eighth even though she is sure no one passed her.
On top of the problems (sabotage?) with the trail marking, what many riders
still may not know, and what makes matters so much worse, is that wonderful
Deena Meyers, the driving force behind the ride, became seriously ill during
the night, and was unable to be at the ride at all today. There is some
speculation that she is in the hospital, but no one really knows. She needs
all our positive thoughts.
What will happen tomorrow???
The one thing for sure is that this is one of those "memorable" rides.
