I took my son to a one day Children's Wilderness Survival Training Class
and was amassed a how much I learned. (Girl Scout and avid camper since
age.... well, almost 30 years.)
Ranger Dave suggested several things to pack in your fanny pack and the one
that stuck in my mind was a roll of electrical tape (or duct tape if you
can find a small roll)... there must be over 5million uses for that stuff.
He taught us how to signal a helicopter with a hand mirror and lots of
other very good, simple stuff...
It was a very good day.
