Yesterday, the "crotch rocket" aka Shahdow, pulled off both front shoes
while screwing sround in the pasture. Last night, Pro evidently got a
shoe caught in the wire fencing, yanked off the shoe, and tore down
about 50 feet of fence. The only thing keeping him in was the strand of
electric wire along the top. My top breeding female (Anatolian
Shepherd) took advantage of this and went exploring...thank goodness we
found her! I suppose it would have been worse to find the horse gone!
Although the dog IS worth more money!
Then we had irrigation come in, and whoever the blessed soul is that was
to take water after us, apparently forgot...so, now I have 3 feet of
standing water. Delightful to slog through several times a day. At
least the horse's pen stayed dry.
The new horse trailer we ordered, didn't make it in as expected, so
there goes that nice ride this weekend.
And, the shoer can't come till Friday, so no riding this week!
Oh, I almost forgot, I left the garage door open last night, and one of
the cats peed on my favorite saddle pad! Does ANYONE know of a way to
get rid of that smell?!!!
Someone remind me why we do all this stuff?!!
